Overview
The RafCore Systems offers RAIS ManagerTM that provides excellent RFID Analytics and Integration services (RAIS) at all levels of the enterprise in order to harness business intelligence from RFID data and achieve higher degree of automation in RFID deployments. RAIS ManagerTM focuses on achieving value creation by getting the right information to the right person, system or device at the right time.
The RAIS ManagerTM has the most innovative approach, tools and techniques that provide excellent Analytics and Integration Services which interface between RFID Middleware/RFID Switch on one end and Enterprise Information Systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, SCM etc) and RFID applications on the other end. RAIS ManagerTM addresses the complete RFID Application Development cycle from Event Management and Analysis (using CEP) to Integration to deploying and managing RFID Solutions. The software tools help in building solutions that are robust yet flexible and scalable, to meet the unique requirements of clients giving them real value and return.
RAIS ManagerTM enables organizations to leverage upon existing investments in Enterprise Information systems and provide real-time visibility and real-time intelligence to these systems in order to achieve true automation. It helps in achieving Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) in RFID networks and makes Enterprise Information Systems respond in real time. It provides the RFID application framework, to build RFID applications easily that provides the visibility to optimize operational efficiency of Enterprise Information Systems. It provides a fully configurable rules engine, that allows setting of alerts and notifying the right person when the specific event occurs or does not occur. The product suite takes into account the compliance issues and standards required for developing and integrating applications.
RAIS ManagerTM includes RAIS ServerTM for RFID Analytics and Integration Services, RafCore SensedgeTM for data collection, filtering and routing, RafAdminTM for device management, RFID network administration and monitoring, and RafStudioTM which is an Eclipse based Integrated Development Environment RFID application development platform.

RAIS Manager successfully meets RFID, Business and Technology challenges.
RFID challenges:
Effective Business Intelligence:The challenge in RFID technology is to derive meaningful information that delivers real business value from huge amounts of raw data. RAIS ManagerTM solves this problem using Business Intelligence in Complex Event Processing. CEP enables understanding, identification and translation of low level event patterns in IT layers of our enterprises to meaningful information that will impact high level business goals, policies and processes in real-time.
Excellent Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) capabilities: Designed to work and evolve with businesses, RAIS serverTM (RafCore Analytics and Integration Services) detects relevant event patterns and calls the right function of Enterprise Information Systems (ERP, SCM, TMS, WMS etc) via JMS, SOAP, HTTP(S) and custom adapters. It interfaces with Sensedge or other RFID Middlewares, switches and routers on one end and Enterprise Information Systems and RFID applications on the other end improving scalability, reliability and performance.
Faster development /deployment of RFID applications: RafCore Application Development Platform, RafStudioTM is built upon Open Source Tools like JBoss, Eclipse which means low learning curve and faster adoption. Eclipse based Integrated Development Environment accelerates the process to develop, simulate and debug RFID application.
Abstraction of low-level data: It is difficult to manage tag ids in the form of numbers and alphabets. Instead RAIS ManagerTM solves this problem by mapping this low-level data to high-level groups and names by using Event Data Language (EDL). Abstraction is moved further from readers to tags to events easing manageability and maintenance.
Smart Repository: Because of Analytical capabilities, RAIS Server transforms tag reads into meaningful business entities and stores them to detect event patterns.
Business challenges:
Improve business processes: Transformation of huge data to meaningful and intelligent actionable events in real-time causes a significant improvement in business processes. It helps in making Right decisions at the Right Time. RafCore's Complex Event Processing engine gathers information using business intelligence and facilitates analysis it to make businesses efficient. It enables demand management and forecasting along with intelligent business actions.
Minimize operational risk: RafCore's unique technology equips enterprises to successfully handle from the simple to the most complex business situations in resource management. RAIS ManagerTM is quite powerful to best serve the needs of enterprises and help remedy the critical problem areas of specific industries leveraging upon best business practices. It has the capability to reliably handle the growth of organizations.
Reduce cost: RAIS Manager's open architecture allows support of wide range of readers (EPC, non-EPC compliant and others). It works in heterogeneous operating environments (Operating System, Computer Hardware) thereby reducing the operating cost on hardware and training.
Reduce Time-to-market: The powerful application development with a lot of built in capabilities makes application development cycle short and thus reduces time.
Technology challenges:
Easy to develop, integrate and deploy: RAIS ManagerTM provides a GUI based flexible and robust software platform for rapid RFID application design, development and testing in the simulated customer environment. It speeds the development of RFID applications with easy to use visual editors. It has excellent Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) capabilities. It runs in heterogeneous environments Linux (Redhat, Suse), Unix (HP, Sun, IBM) and Windows, thereby reducing the setup and operational costs significantly.
Easy to Manage: RafAdminTM tool is a powerful management and administration. It allows changes in the RFID network topology, which includes changes in reader positions, addition and removal of RFID Readers, addition and deletion of tags as new items are added and some are discontinued.
